Hummus with olives, tomato, tender turron and turron and turron sticks fresh salad

Ingredients for 4 people

For the hummus:

  • 400 g cooked chickpeas
  • 3 tablespoons of tahini
  • 5 g chopped garlic
  • 5 ml lemon juice
  • 20 ml olive oil
  • 3 g ground cumin
  • 3 g salt
  • 3 g pepper to taste10 ml water

For the salad:

  • 136 g El Almendro salt caramel turron sticks
  • 80 g sliced grapes
  • 100 g half sliced cherry tomatoes
  • 100 g El Almendro tender turron, slice in little cubes
  • Chopped fresh mint to decorate
  • 6 ml olive oil
  • 2 g salt
  •  2 g pepper

Instructions

  1. In a blender or food processor, combined the chickpeas, the tahini, chopped garlic, lemon juice, olive oil and the ground cumin.
  2. Mix at high speed, until every ingredient is well combined and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix again to include the ingredients.
  4. Put the hummus in a container and cool it until you’re ready to serve it.
  5. In a big bowl, mix the green and black olives, the cherry tomatoes cut in halves and the tender turron cubes. Smoothly mix everything to combine the flavours.
  6. Place an amount of hummus in the centre of a plate.
  7. Distribute the salad around the hummus.
  8. Decorate with salt caramel turron sticks, olive oil, chopped mint, salt and pepper.
