Oxtail with tender turron reduction open sandwich

Prepare this oxtail at home in just over half an hour. You’ll only need 35 minutes. Of course, don’t forget that you’ll need a box of El Almendro tender turron.

Ingredients for 6 people

  • 150 g El Almendro tender turron
  • 200 g stewed and minced oxtail
  • 100 ml red wine
  • 50 g finely chopped onion
  • 5 g chopped garlic
  • 15 ml olive oil
  • 3 g salt
  • 3 g pepper to taste
  • 200 g apple

Instructions

  1. In a frying pan, cook to medium heat the olive oil. Add the chopped onion and garlic and stir fry until they’re golden brown. Add the tender turron and red wine to the frying pan.
  2. Cook to medium-low heat, stir constantly, to turron melts and the mixture reduces to a thick syrup consistency.
  3. Season with salt and pepper. Remove the reduction from the heat and leave to cool.
  4. Heat the minced oxtail in a frying pan until is warm.
  5. Slice the apple in fine pieces, toast them slightly in a frying pan and set aside.
  6. Place a piece of warm oxtail onto a piece of apple’s chip.
  7. Drizzle with the turron reduction over the oxtail.
